The Miners Rest Hotel & Restaurant is looking for a motivated Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

We are a busy, quality-focused hotel and restaurant serving seasonal dishes in a welcoming and professional environment. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, initiative and a positive team attitude just as much as experience.

The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help lead day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining high food standards and a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with kitchen management
• Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
• Assisting with ordering, prep planning and stock control
• Helping train and develop junior chefs
• Ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
