Chef Jobs at The Field Kitchen at Sillyflatt Farm, Fields & Fare

Sillyflatt is a 142 acre farm located in South Aberdeenshire, looking out over the North Sea. Family owned and operated for three generations, the current owners, Ailsa & Jan Georg Van Rooyen have been working to expand the offerings and increase the regenerative agricultural practices. The farm has re-started its market garden, raises sheep for fleece and hogget production and is home to hardy flocks of hens and geese. The Field Kitchen is a new venture in an air stream style fully kitted out mobile kitchen. The kitchen has access to all the locally produced fare and Sillyflatt and across the Mearns as well as an abundance of foraging opportunities on land and at sea.

We feature seasonal, local and regional products with a focus on connecting to the land and living a healthy and sustainable life. We are already running a successful farm shop and looking to expand to special events and farm specific products. We have the benefit of being directly on the main coastal A92  route with excellent connectivity to other  local producers, service and tourism providers, and existing or new potential  customers.
