Creative Chef Wanted – Café by Day, Wine Bar by Night

We’re looking for a passionate, creative chef to join our growing team at Oliver's, an independent café by day and a relaxed wine bar by night.

We're expanding our opening hours to include Mondays and Tuesdays, and are looking for a skilled chef to work alongside our current chef on a rotating schedule. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic and innovative role as part of a small, dedicated team.

About Us

We serve an elevated brunch menu during the day, and offer charcuterie boards, small plates, and themed food and wine events in the evening. We're also developing tasting menus with wine pairings and want a chef who’s excited to bring fresh ideas to the table.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading the kitchen for brunch and evening service
• Creating seasonal specials and event menus
• Preparing beautifully presented, high-quality dishes
• Managing kitchen prep, cleanliness, and stock on your shifts
• Working closely with the front-of-house team and our existing chef
• Contributing ideas for new menu items, events, and guest experiences

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
• A passion for creative, flavourful food and elegant plating
• Strong brunch and small plate cooking skills
• Confidence to manage the kitchen solo on your shifts
• Good communication, organisation, and time management
• Food hygiene Level 2+ (or willingness to obtain)
