Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced chef with a strong background in fish and chips preparation. The ideal candidate should be confident in handling all aspects of kitchen operations, from preparing and cutting fresh fish to managing daily kitchen flow and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cut, and portion fresh fish to high standards.
Fry fish and chips to perfection using professional techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies when needed.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
Lead or assist in running the kitchen during service, ensuring smooth operation.
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a fish and chips kitchen or similar environment.
Excellent knife skills and ability to fillet and portion fish.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time management, especially during peak hours.
