Chef — OXBREW Brewery, Taproom & Smokehouse
Oxford, OX2 0ES | Full Time | 40–45 hours per week

Help us build Oxford's new smokehouse.
OXBREW is a new brewery, taproom and smokehouse, and we're looking for a passionate Chef with commercial kitchen experience to join our team and help shape our food offering from the ground up.
Our focus is proper low-and-slow BBQ, using primitive and direct smokers, designed to complement our beers.
The role
You'll be involved in:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality food to a consistently high standard
- Developing and refining our smokehouse menu
- Learning and developing skills in BBQ, smoking and fire cooking
- Creating dishes that work alongside our in-house beers
- Supporting smooth and efficient kitchen service
- Managing stock, prep and waste
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great customer experience
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen, experience in a smoke house is desirable
- A genuine passion for good food and cooking
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation
- Good understanding of food hygiene and allergen requirements
- Experience handling raw, cooked and stored meat safely
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A positive, hands-on attitude and strong team skills
- Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety qualification
