Broomieknowe Golf Club seeks an experienced, creative and enthusiastic Senior Chef who is prepared to support the Head Chef and take control of the catering service in the absence of the Head Chef, to provide a high standard of food for all occasions to the members, guests and visitors to the Club.
Broomieknowe is a parkland golf course, founded in 1905, situated in the heart of Bonnyrigg, and has a thriving golfing and social membership. The Club constructed a new Clubhouse facility in 2021 which is now open to the public and footfall has increased rapidly over the last 3 years. The successful applicant must possess the ability to operate efficiently and calmy in a fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. You will be part of a team of 4 chefs assisted by our amazing Front of House staff.
The position is on an employed basis and as such the successful candidate must have excellent operational understanding of the sector, a stable career history and a drive to succeed.
Experience in a kitchen environment and an excellent knowledge of best food hygiene practices is necessary. The preparation of food and presentation to a high quality is essential as is the ability to follow instruction.
