Location: Bromley, South London
Employment type: Permanent
Salary: Competitive
Working pattern: Rota-based, including weekends and occasional evenings
Mobilisation and preparation: December 2026
Official start: January 2027
The OpportunityJoin Ellekay Hospitality Group as a Front of House team member and play an important part in delivering excellent catering and hospitality services. You’ll help create a welcoming environment for guests, provide friendly and professional service, and work alongside a supportive team to ensure every event and service runs smoothly.
This is an opportunity to bring your personality, enthusiasm and attention to detail to a growing hospitality operation, where teamwork and a positive guest experience are at the heart of what we do.
Your RoleAs a member of the front-of-house team, you’ll help deliver excellent customer service across catering, hospitality and events. You’ll prepare and maintain service areas, serve food and beverages as required, respond to guest needs and work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues to provide an efficient, welcoming and professional service.
At times, you may be asked to take the lead during a shift or event, helping coordinate colleagues, communicate priorities and ensure service runs efficiently. Flexibility, initiative and a willingness to support the wider team will be important to success in this role.
What You Will Be Doing· Guest service and hospitality: Welcome and assist guests, respond politely to questions and requests, provide attentive service, and refer complaints or issues to the appropriate manager when needed.
· Catering and event service: Help set up, serve and clear catering areas; support food and beverage service; keep an eye on guest needs and presentation; and help events run to schedule.
· Preparation and presentation: Prepare dining and service areas before service, keep front-of-house spaces clean, tidy and presentable, and complete relevant opening, closing and event set-up tasks.
· Food hygiene, allergens and safety: Follow food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures. Communicate dietary requirements accurately, check information with the kitchen when unsure, and never guess when answering an allergen question. Report hazards, faults or concerns promptly.
· Teamwork and communication: Work cooperatively with front-of-house colleagues, kitchen staff and management. Share information clearly, communicate special requests and dietary needs, and help colleagues during busy periods.
· Stock and equipment: Help receive and organise deliveries, keep equipment clean and ready for use, monitor supplies, and minimise waste and breakages. Report low stock or damaged equipment.
· Orders and records: Handle guest orders accurately and complete any routine service records or checks required for the shift.
· Occasional shift coordination: When requested, help colleagues understand immediate service priorities, share practical information and support the smooth running of a shift or event. This does not make the role a permanent supervisory position.
What You Will Bring· Friendly, welcoming and professional approach to guests and colleagues.
· Clear communication and a helpful, team-focused attitude.
· Good organisation, reliability and attention to detail.
· Ability to prioritise tasks, stay calm during busy services and adapt when plans change.
· Care for cleanliness, presentation, food safety and accurate communication of allergen information.
· Willingness to learn, take feedback and support colleagues when needed.
Qualifications and ExperienceThe following are desirable but not essential:
· Previous experience in front-of-house, catering, events or hospitality.
· Food Safety and Hygiene certification and allergen awareness training.
A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are important. Training and guidance will be provided as appropriate.
Room To GrowBuild your catering and hospitality experience, develop your customer service and event skills, and learn from colleagues across the operation. There may be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities or help coordinate a shift when needed. Progression will depend on your development and the opportunities available within the business.
