About the role
We are seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef who's fed up of having no work/life balance and is ready to take their next role of heading our daytime Cafe team at Cafe Tamra-Northcote Road, our most prestigious location.
This pivotal role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining our standards of excellence to delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage food safety protocols and hygiene practices.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect our culinary vision.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to foster a collaborative environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to enhance overall guest experience.
- Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food production, service and preparation.
- Excellent team management and leadership abilities.
- Valid Level 2 (preferably level 3) Food Hygiene certificate.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Passion for innovative cuisine and customer satisfaction.
