At the centre of the group is John Hooker—chef, operator, and co-owner—whose career has been shaped at the highest level of British cooking. John has appeared on Great British Menu, showcasing his approach to seasonal, ingredient-led dishes, and has also featured on Saturday Kitchen with James Martin.

The Cornish Arms, Tavistock is an award-winning gastropub with over a decade of recognition in the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs, known for delivering consistent, high-quality food in a busy, fast-paced environment. Alongside it sits The Blacksmiths Arms, Lamerton, a thriving village pub focused on honest, well-executed dishes and a strong connection to local produce and community.
We are now entering an exciting new phase with the upcoming launch of our third site, The Ring of Bells, North Bovey—a project that reflects our continued ambition to grow while maintaining the standards and identity that define us.
